2001 Ford F150 4X4 Flairside V6 5 Speed
 

Hey All ,
Newbie here and a I have never owned a truck of any kind but I am looking at this vehicle and it is in great shape but I was wondering if anyone can tell me if its a good vehicle assume condition excellent for this thread......the mileage is 122002 seller is asking 4100.00 , Can anyone tell me if this is the mileage they fall apart or start having issues or are these trucks pretty much solid vehicles .This would be just a backup vehicle for me not looking to haul a camper across the US or load the back with 5tons of stone or anything . The only negative I can see is maybe it needs a new tires soon . I'm going to see it in person next week if it isn't sold by then.
Any information on these vehicles as far as common issues or dos and don'ts I would greatly appreciate to hear from you.

Mileage is always an important consideration, however, how the vehicle was used,and quality of maintenance can tell a better story of what may be up the road.
If possible have your mechanic go with you to look the vehicle over that could be worth more than anything possibly offered here.
Maintenance history can tell a lot about present condition and what may be up the road. Ask for maintenance records and have someone with auto and light truck experience look the vehicle over. If there is nothing to hide, the seller shouldn't mind.
Don't forget to look under the vehicle for anything unusual.
