2006 Ford F250 Diesel

I own a Ford F250 Diesel Truck

Is there going to be a problem with the new low sulfer fuel??? I have read several conflicting stories. Ford did not disclose anything to me when I purchased the vehicle. From what I read about the fuel, there are a lot of unknowns just like what happened in 1992. The 1992 Diesel fuel change created many problems in the diesel engines.

If anyone has a 04, 05, 06 Ford Diesel the question is?? Did anyone inform you, give you, have you sign a disclosure form stating you are aware of the unknown potential effects of the Diesel fuel change over to Low Sulfer Fuel????

I feel there should have been a disclosure to ford purchusers of the future fuel low lubrication and potential excessive wear and engine damage and fuel seal leaks due to this new Diesel fuel emission. In 2010, it changes again from 15PPM to 5PPM. What will happen to our late model engines then????? Now in addition to increased Diesel cost, we will be required to put additives into our engines. Non of this was disclosed to me when I spent $43,000 for my vehicle.

I read that Europe has stopped sending some diesel vehicles over to the U.S. because of the damage that can be caused to it's engines because of this new Diesel Fuel.

Does anyone know if we can or shouldband togeather in a class action???? After the Three year warentee, any damage created by this new Diesel fuel will be at our expense. This is not right. There should have a disclosure by all the diesel truck manufactures as to future potential problems. If I would have knownof this situation and a disclosure statement was presented to me about the unknowns Inever would have spent $43,000 for a truck that had unknows attached to it, and that the manufactor willnot repair after the 3 year warentee expires.

Hello and you have very good points *** May I suggest you copy and reinsert your e-mail to Diesel Topic on main home page *** As far as the Additive I too have a 2006 FX4 6.0 Diesel and use additive from www.powersource.com that can be purchased at your local auto retailer ( Recommended Choice 1 ) *** Also consider additive from Amsoil - www.amsoil.com ( Recommneded Choice # 2 ) and last go to your local Ford Dealer and purchase their additive * Recommended choice # 3 ) *** Hope this helps a bit *** Plus I hope you get feedback once you repost your message because all of your points I too am very concerned with as well --- Thanks John from Colfax NC
