98 expedition Power Door lock fuse blows

The 30A fuse in the power distribution box blows after a couple of iterations with the remote. The doors lock and unlock when I press the respective buttons on the remote but if i press the unlock button consecutively, the fuse blows. The problem originated when one of my boys pressed the lock button on the front passenger door while the other tried to open the rear passenger door simultaneously. I disconnected the actuators on both doors and tried it but the fuse still pops.

You'll have to dig a little on this. Do all the door locks (including the liftgate) work correctly? If not, start there. All should work smoothly, with no buzzing or rattling. Then, move on to the switches; you might have to try them a few times. If all else fails, then VERY throughly check the wiring looms in the doors. At this age/milage, I'd bet the drivers door may have a broken/cracked wire allowing an intermittant short to ground. Good luck!
