Ford buy backs (lemons)

I am interested in a 2006 F250 6L with 27,000 miles on the odometer. The Ford dealer imformed me that the particular vehicle I am interested in was a factory buy back. The original owner complained of a fluid (oil) leak. His Ford dealership made numerous unsuccessful attempts at fixing the leak. At the owner's request, Ford bought the truck back, fixed it, leak tested it and resold it at Ford auction to the Ford dealership that I am currently negotiating. Also, Ford is offering a 1 year extended warranty to the next owner.Should I be concerned? Should I walk away? Should I request a deep discount? Please advise...Thank You, Walter

RE: Ford buy backs (lemons)

Walter, I personally would not buy it. Ford has too many good deals on brand new pick ups for the price they are asking for that used one.
Wait until the end of this month (Dec.) and see what kind of deal they will make with you. At the end of 2006, I bought a 2006 E-350 Box truck/van for waaaay less than what was on the window sticker. They were eager to get their sales quota and happy that I bought a 2007 Mustang at the same time.
