ford focus 05 1.6tdci engine system fault

I have a problem that has just started with my car. 3 times since sunday the engine system fault light has displayed itself on my dashboard. There appears to be nothing wrong with the car when driving, it is accelerating fine, it is not puffing smoke and the engine sounds ok. It seems to happen after I pull away from traffic lights, the car goes in to a slow limp mode. Once the engine is switched off and restarted everything seems ok again and the car drives as normal. Any ideas what this might be? The car has 64000 miles and has just been through an NCT. I only have the car with little over two weeks. Any ideas appreciated

Whatever it is, is allowed to reset once you turn the ignition off.
You need to keep the car running so the code(s) can be checked.
I believe Autozone is one of the places that will get you the code at no charge.
It may also stay in the computer's memory if you turn the key off.

dear sir
i gave ford focus 2007 automatic. there is a default in system written "system fault" and the problem is that after starting the engin the gear does not change and does not accelerate until i drive for about one kilometer. the car runs on one gear only after minutes it changes gears automatically
