i have a ford fusion3, it is 2005 model, since i got it new, i have had to replace the gear lever gaiter 4 times . firsty time the warranty covered , second time i had to pay (only 8 pound something, but hey its the principle) the third time i got angry as this is a manufacturing fault, there is nothing near it to cause the split, and each time it was in exactly the same place, so ford were contacted and agreed to replace it free as a "gesture of goodwill". it has split again, ford refuse to pay for it, as they say its not a common fault. surely i cant be the only one to notice this, or is it that no-one else is bothered about the little things anymore? or am i just dead unlucky?
