Hi all, I live in Northern AZ and am looking to acquire my first Ford - I'm interested in either a 1992 - 1996 F150 xtended cab long bed I6 4x4, or a 1987 - 1996 E150 I6 3 or 4 speed. I've been watching for the F150 for some time (Craigslist, etc) but no luck so far, have my eye on a 1991 E150 I may go look closer into tomorrow.

Anything I should know up front / know to check out on the E150? It has the 4.9 motor, don't know which trans but according to wikipedia the only trans in 1991 was the E40D - sound right? ...and is that a concern? ...I've seen references that the E40D needs reliability mods...

Anyone know if there was a 3 speed option also and if that would be the C6?
