New Member,new f150and new problem

Hey all,New to forum.Just bought back in April new f150 Triton STX.2000 miles and this past weekend I noticed that my odometer (digital) Base cluster is blinking and sometimes disapears all together. HELP Im guessing that it is in the cluster itself.

sorry all.The year of the F150 is 2006. Ive done a little reading and it points to the Inst. cluster circuit board but Im not certain.

I had a feeling it was preety new that's why I asked. I would take it back under warranty.

Welcome to the site, and congrats on the new truck.

I would take it back. I would imagine it is still under warranty even though you bought used? And yes, it sounds liek the cluster. Possibly a connector is lose, worse case a cold solder joint on teh circuit board.

Thanks all for your replies. Took the new 06 F150 with only 2195.1 mi in to dealer today. They will have to replace the Inst. cluster. Under warranty but will take a couple days had to order it. Cir. board is the problem. Had a chance to read more here and there seems to be cold solder joints on these cluster boards. Hope they get it all back together right and without damage. Fill you all in later after I get it back and will verify the problem.
