Non Start Condition 2001 Mercury Grand Marquis

My Grand Marquis will turn over but not start. It's seldom used but the battery is always on a Battery Tender. Seems to be getting no fuel. I ran codes, no codes came up. Checked the fuel pump fuse and its good.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Can you hear the fuel pump run for a couple of seconds when you first turn the key to the on position? If not, check the fuse, relay, fuel cut off switch in the trunk and than the fuel pump. If the pump is running, check the rest of the fuses to see if there is current goint to the injectors. Also check for spark. Let us know.

Check the inertia switch also (in trunk on the side); sometimes, this body style had fuel pumps that would just die for no apparent reason.
Is the check engine light comming on when the key is turned on?

In addition to the 2 previous posts, if you can get under the car, have someone crank the engine and rap the bottom of the fuel tank, it just might get the fuel pump started. If it does start , that trick usually works only once because the fuel pump is on its way out.
