hi all

new to the forum so I wanted to asks for some help with a issue I’m currently having any help will be much appreciated

so im having a issue with a sound coming from the engine I can only describe this as a purring sound when accelerating and when slowing down changing gears , the car is running fine no issues apart from this sound. The car currently has 135500 miles I’m due to go get the timing belt and water pump done this week and book in for a MOT , the car was serviced back in February with no issues.

The car is a Ford Fiesta style 1.4 diesel on a 58 reg

the only thing I’ve had done recent is the air con regas could this sound be something to do with that ?
