Default Spool vs Weilded

I have a 95 bronco with a 302 sitting on 34 TSL super swampers. Im wondering if a spool would be easier or just weilding the spider gears?

I would definatly go with the spool. I have seen so many occations where the welds break and blow up rear-ends. What kind of rear do you have 9"? you always run a chance of a weld breaking or the carrier grenading with it being welded. And if you ever want to re gear it you should just spool it up. Is this your daily driver or on a trailer for mud rig?

Oh ok thats cool. I still would spool it up. Just in case later on you want some diffrent gears. I have seen them both out on the trail. Dont get me wrong a good solid weld will hold up it will work in the mud but personaly i would rather have a since of security knowing that the welds will never break cause of the spool. To be honest i have thought about lincoln locking my 9" up but i want to know that when the rubber meets the road the i dont have to worry about will the welds beak and explode my rear end. As a mechanic once told me you gotta pay to play. If you have a spare 8.8 i say give it a try if it explodes it swap in the other one
