Default Windstar Owner new to forum

In October, I paid $4000 (3200 Euros) for a local German Ford dealer to rebuild my tranny in a 2000 windstar (actually they sent the trans somewhere that is licensed to do it). Now My check engine light is on, the O/D off light flashes, and I have all kinds of electrical problems (no reverse lights when OD light is flashing, etc).

I seriously doubt the dealer here has access to Windstar TSBs. Where can I get a full version of the bulletins? The keep ordering parts that arent doing the job. I'm a little POd that they wont tell me the codes that the computer is keeping. It's like a friggin' secret. They said they will give me a list when I pick it up...

I guarantee these clowns put my old isolator bolts on when they ripped the engine out to remove the tranny.

Welcome! Sounds like you're having quite the time with some bad mechs. I hope everything works out for the best and for the cheapest.

At the top of the page right below the banner there is a link "Ford TSB's". Sorry to hear about your misfortunes with that dealer. Sounds like maybe they didn't plug in the electrical connector correctly or not fully seated.

These are the codes that were in my vans memory. I have no idea if they are the same in a german computer as one in the USA...

It cost me $100 to replace the tranny position sensor...not too bad, considering.
