Default lift kits

I'm looking for a cheap suspension lift for my 99 eplorer 4.0 wonderin if anybody new where to find one less then 2000 dollars.... And also it has the auto 4wd is there a way to make it 2wd and still have my four wheel drive optional? Is it a matter of changing out a transfer case??

I would think you could find a lift kit and a transfer case both for less than $2000.

In fact, you can start here:
Ford Explorer Lift Kit - 1991-94 4" 4x4 - Kits by Tuff Country Suspension

as far as the auto 4wd goes, what happens is there are sensors that detect if the wheels are spinning and that engages the 4wd. If you look into some Explorer specific forums they may tell you how to wire in a switch rather than use the sensors or something along that line, but I don't know for sure.
