Ford shield symbol

I bought a symbol at an antique show for $1. It says on the back DOMB-8B362-A, and then a tiny oval with FoMoCo in it, then below that, D.L. AULD. Can anybody tell me what Ford this is from?

By the way, it's not a very heavy piece of metal, and it looks like it was glued onto the car, so I'd say it's at least from the 60's, if not newer.
