I bought a Mechanix Illustrated from Nov 1958 for 4 bucks at a swap meet-it was worth every penny because it had the Tom McCahill report on the new cars for 1959-Uncle Tom was a legend to me. On of the things the really struck me about this article was the optimism of late 50s America...
