Remote Key Pads

I have a problem with two remote keypads for a 2003 BA. The BCM reads them and the boot lock and red horn button work, but when the ‘lock’ button is pressed the locks cycles twice and then the horn bips 5 times. The car remains unlocked. The ‘unlock’ button only unlocks the rear and passenger doors, not the driver’s door. I did get these cheap on Ebay, but how come the logic is all over the place? I also pressed the internal lock button on the control console at some time during the programming (“learning” as it’s described) – could that have had any effect? I’d just like to know that if I take the car to Ford a dealer at $99 an hour, is he or she going to be any help? Or have I done something to the BCM so it’s gone into freefall?
Is there a 'Body Control Module' nerd out there - please help?

Some problems like this are "fixable" with a capable scan tool. it should not take more than an hour to reprogram the BCM..
Providing all it needs is reprogramming ,worth the $$ unless you know a place that can reprogram it for less. Check out a good locksmith. some of them can do this also.
