Hi guys
I need to re skirting board my kitchen, but also a wall is getting papered....
Should I paper the wall and do the skirting over it, or skirt the wall then paper to the top of the skirting...?

I'd install the skirting board before papering the wall. That way, the skirting board will neatly cover the bottom edge of the wallpaper, creating a finished look. Installing the skirting after papering may risk damaging the wallpaper during the process.
For a seamless look, many prefer to paper the wall first and then install the skirting over it. This ensures that the paper edges are neatly concealed behind the skirting board, creating a clean finish. However, if you're using ogee skirting or any other decorative profile, you may find it easier to skirt the wall first and then paper up to the top of the skirting. This allows you to achieve a precise fit between the skirting and the paper without the risk of damaging the paper during installation.
definitely skirting boards first, as someone who has renovated their whole house themselves id def go for skirting board first, we used mitre cuts for it and as far as the wallpaper is concerned u just need to keep it an inch longer than the wall and when u reach the skirting part just use a cutter and slice the excess off giving u a neat look, it will also help u avoid any damage to the wallpaper as mentioned above, i hope i could be helpful
