Got in mind a hot rod based on a 1948 Ford Prefect I spotted at a shop near by. Thinking an inline 6 and a manual of some sort for under the hood, the car has no firewall so I don't have to worry about that clearance. Anybody have any thoughts on what engine I would want to use?

Are you looking to retain the more vintage look? Or later inlines and 5/OD’s?

 

Thinking a vintage look. Probably an AMC engine, but others are on the table.
