1972 Torino i have no clue about

i have a 1972 ford torino. before i restore it i need some information about the car to see if it is restoring to full factory or do a resto-mod. my issue is with the car is it is the bicentinneal edition. it has decals and a different pinstriping. from where i got it, it was considered 'special'. i have searched and searched but found nothing on it. if anyone knows anything about this car or where i can findinformation about it i would appreciate. i just dont want to do another starsky and hutch recreation (though they are nice).

RE: 1972 Torino i have no clue about

1976 is bicentennial year. Car may have come out a bit early. Take pictures and measurements before restoring. May be a very rare model - or something someone patched together. A specialty Ford body assembly manual from that year would shed some light. Also maybe consider body books from '75 and '76. Could be a very rare car by now.
