I'd be very grateful if anyone can help me identify this emblem and what Ford model it belonged to.

I believe it is a Fender emblem because the owner (deceased) had two of them - not like a hood emblem, which is one in the center.- probably he installe new emblems before selling the car (I'm guessing). Going through hundreds of images of Ford models and Ford emblems I have not been able to recognize anything like it, however it seems that the use of this kind of fender emblems - probably on the tail fenders - probably falls in the 50-60s period.

Any help would be much appreciated.
