I had a friend do that many years back so yes you can do it but why? I know that ford parts are typically higher than the chevy counter parts but I personnally don't think that its worth all the work!

Personally I think that would be a damn shame but it wouldn't be hard to do. Your main problem is going to be getting the driveline angle right when you build your motor/ trannymounts.

No doubt. By the time you make up all the stuff to put it in you could have built the motor.

RE: Ranchero motor convert to chevy 350
Why 350 when you can go 1 better with a Ford 351W? Small block weight with big block power. Chevy parts should go in Chevy trucks. When I see a Chevy motor in a nice Ford body I just wanna' throw up. I cooked a Corvette with a Torino 351W so what's better about a Chevy? Nothing. Just get the adjustable rocker studs put in like the older Fords and you're good as any Chevy motor block and better. I liked the Ford block bearings design better in comparison to GM's.
