Getting ready to give it a try
 

I haven't been on the track in 15 years. The last time I went to the track I owned a 1967 GTA Fastback with a modified 351 W. It ran a C-6 with 350 gears.On a set of BFGoodrich tires it ran 1390's to 14.00 . It was a nice driver.I drove a FFR Cobra for 13 years but never took it to the track. I did do a little street racing against a couple buddy's .I only raced it about 5 times and didn't loose to any of my friends.It ran pretty good. I guesstomate it was running about 400hp at the crank and weighted 2300lbs.I sold the Cobra and now have a !965 Ford Falcon Futura.I haven't done a lot to it . The guy I bought it from built it pretty much for drag racing. It's running a SVO boss block 310 longrod ,AFR 185 reworked to fit the boss block,750 Quickfuel carb and headers.I have a built AOD with Broader Racing value body,4.11 with 4 link . I'm planning on giving it a try at Milan this summer With this car.I found that I got no traction from start to about half way through 2nd. I just went out and had a new set of Nitti 245-45-17 put on it and just ordered a drive shaft loop.I do not have the least ideal how fast it will run.I'm really hoping that it will turn some high 12's. On the street tires it felt as fast as or a little faster than my Cobra was.Maybe with a little traction I will get a nice surprize.

Iv'e all ways liked the Falcon's.Over the years Iv'e owned three of them. The first was a 1964 Futura,1963 Futura Sprint and this 1965 Futura.For some reason I keep going back to Falcons.I think this will be the last. Roger
