Default Lowering a 96 460cu in (7.5 v8) econoline

Looking for advice and links on lowering my 1996 Ford Econoline 7.5 V8. Has anyone done this before? Can't find much info on the net.

The reason you don't find anything is because it doesn't make sense. Why would someone change the carrying capacity and ruin the handing and ride characteristics of a van by lowering it?

If done properly, lowering the center of gravity can improve handling. As far as carrying capacity goes, that doesn't apply to me. This is a project for my son and me, it's not for family or bus use.
