C4 kickdown

Hi anyone have pics of how the kickdown rod attaches at the trans? 78 mustang ii 302 c4 floor shift

Usually it just slid into the lever on the side of the trans and was kept there with a flat washer and a cotter pin..
There was an adjustment where you lifted the plastic retainer for the cable anchor and with the throttle to the floor and while there pushed the retainer down. I believe the adjustment was located on top of the engine to the side and rear of the carburetor about 10 inches from the firewall, been a long time !
Will double check.

"Usually" there's a grommet which snaps onto the linkage and into the lever on the side of the transission. The grommet keeps the linkage attached, allows free movement and prevents metal to metal contact and wear of the linkage and lever. My manuals only go back to 82.
