Doing tranny swap can I?

Swapping out the transmission in my 93 Ford crown Vic. I believe it's a AOD and I'm putting in a 4R70W. Do I need to get a new flexplate or can I use the old one even though it was for a AOD transmission? Or could I just use my AOD TC in the 4R70W to the old flexplate?

AOD was a NON-Electronic transmission, strictly mechanical. It was upgraded to electronic as the AODE, which was further upgraded to the 4R70W. The 4R70W would require use of all the sensors needed by it, as well as a computer capable of running it. I believe a "stand-alone" controller may be available for it.
