Default Tire size question

I have a 2000 Mercury Sable that I plan on fixing to drive while I put my 03 Explorer down for a while (have to pull the motor and repair timing cassettes).

My problem is I don't have tires on the rims yet on the Sable, we swapped them out to another vehicle earlier this year, They were 215/60r/16, I do have 3 tires off of a Grand Caravan but they were 215/65r/16, my question is can I have those 65r tires mounted on the rims that are 60r? I'm thinking I can.. Because the original Sable tires were new and swapped them on the van rims (local garage did) since we gave the van to a family member..

So to the point will 215/65r/16 tires work on rims made for 215/60r/16's?

The tires will work on the rim but you will want to be sure that you will not have any rubbing with the higher profile tires.
