2000 Front Brake Rotors
1st what brand of T-40 bit do you use to remove the front rotors? (Have broke 2 bits all ready) and do you have to re-install the hex bolts for the rotors? The hex bolts seem to be really seized on there or any suggestion on what to use to loosen the bolts.
Thanks, Justin |

The only drill bits I've had luck with, and trust, are Sear's Craftsman. When removingbroken bolts/studs, the key is to use a small drill bit, then keep going wider until you're able to pull the bolt out with your hand.NEVERlet the drill bit make contact with the outer edges of the bolt/stud.
Here'sa link that provides this method, as well as others (excellent article): http://www.asashop.org/autoinc/may2003/techtotech.cfm. |

Don't remember ever seeing retaining bolts for rotors on windstar? However if it does have these bolts they need to be removed with an impact driver. Impact drives are special tools that allow you to strike a hammer against driver and it provides a blast of inward twisting power to remove thes small screws/bolts
