2000 Windstar engine shaking
Shakes while sitting idle and gets worse at 1.2K RPM but clears up at around 2k+. Pulled each injector and each cylinder is firing. No codes. Motor mounts and harmonic balancer looks fine. I'm down to balance shaft and flywheel or torque converter. How do I check those without tearing down the engine? 3.8 SEL

Could be a problem with the EGR syst and plugged ports

Any check eng lite or codes?
Places like Autozone will check for any codes at no cge. Can you try this, if so post the code(s) here . might be able to get some direction and go from there. |

When you say shakes, does this mean it is possibly misfiring >
Could you be a little more specific? If you are not sure, place your hand back at the tailpipe . If you feel a puffing , it is misfiring. |
