2000 Windstar engine shaking

Shakes while sitting idle and gets worse at 1.2K RPM but clears up at around 2k+. Pulled each injector and each cylinder is firing. No codes. Motor mounts and harmonic balancer looks fine. I'm down to balance shaft and flywheel or torque converter. How do I check those without tearing down the engine? 3.8 SEL

Could be a problem with the EGR syst and plugged ports

Keep seeing people mention the EGR, but never considered it to be the problem. I had the intake clam shell off a month ago and made sure all the EGR ports were clean. The only thing I can think of that would cause this is the EGR valve being stuck open. I will check it today and post back thanks.

Any check eng lite or codes?
Places like Autozone will check for any codes at no cge. Can you try this, if so post the code(s) here . might be able to get some direction and go from there.

I vacuum pumped the EGR valve and it stalled the engine, so it works and there are no codes. I ran a mode $06 and it came up with several fails, but nothing significant. I can post those if you'd like but I don't think they're related.

When you say shakes, does this mean it is possibly misfiring >
Could you be a little more specific?
If you are not sure, place your hand back at the tailpipe . If you feel a puffing , it is misfiring.

No, it is not misfiring at all. I checked each cylinder and all of them are firing. I think my problem may be the link listed below.

It was the harmonic balancer.
