2002 Ford Windstar SEL - how do you remove kick panel?
 

Sorry if this a dumb question but I have searched the internet but found nothing and I have learned some things are not as simple as they seem. I plan on installing a remote starter in my van tomorrow and will need access to the wiring harnesses behind the driver side kick panel. Unfortunately I have a small window of opportunity due to weather and figured I would ask this in advance before waiting until I am into the project and I don't want to force things and break the panel. Any info will be appreciated :) .

Lower A pillar trim panels just snap to the body. Remove the carpet scuff plate. On the narrow flat area facing you there are 2 panel retaining clips. Pull in the direction of the scuff plate only, not into the foot area. There is a locating 'ear' or tab that holds the trim panel in that area. You want to more slide it away and off.
