Default 96' Aerostar misfire

I have a 96' Aerostar that I noticed missing about a month ago. Now it's gotten worse and the OBII codes are P0301, P0305 and P1443. The P0301 and P0305 come up first. I've recently changed the spark plugs, plug wires, fuel filter and coil pack. I even swapped # 1 fuel injector with # 2 to see if it moved but P0301 still comes up. I've checked the fuel pressure with a gauge and it's within the required specs. I've cleared the codes at least 6 times after each part change and still the same. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks, Dale

For the p03xx codes, after seeming to have done everything you can to help diagnose and repair a fuel or ignition problem, your next step would be to check base engine. Remove all the plugs and check compression. all cylinders should be roughly equal, give or take 10psi.

You p01443 is a transmission code (if I remember right), although I can't tell you at the moment exactly what it's pointing to.

I have done a compression test and all cylinders are within 5-10 psi of each other. I have also performed a vacuum test and the readings are also good. The vacuum was steady at 17-18 Hg at idle and normal operating temp. When reved up to 2,000 RPM and held it would stay steady at about 25 Hg. I was wondering if the camshft position sensor was bad what would happen? I actually unplugged it thinking the engine wouldn't start but it fired right up and runs the same. It makes no difference if it's plugged up or not. The next thing I'll try is cleaning the #1 fuel injector port. I read in another forum that it is known to carbon up. Feel free with any suggestions. Thanks, Dale
