I had the engine light read and it said oxygen sensor bank 2 sensor 2.Where would that be located on a 98 3.8?Thanks.

The cylinders on a transverse mounted engine are numbered 1,2,3, closest to the firewall and cyls 4,5,6 closest to the radiator. Bank 2 refers to cyls 4,5,6,.
Sensor 2 refers to the O2 sensor after the converter on that side exhaust pipe. Something to keep in mind, just because you received a code indicating approx area of the problem doesn't always mean the sensor itself is defective. A thorough check of the wiring and voltage supply to the sensor is always in order. |
Thanks very much.
