Areostar fuel issue

Areostar fuel issue
Trying to help out a freind, 93 Areostar ran to store, shut off went to start nothing, had it towed home. Spark ok, 40 psi fuel pressure to injectors, nothing coming out of injectors. It will run when gas is sprayed into air cleaner. Can anyone help???? He doesn't think injectors are plugged.
