CEL P0443
just recently i changed out a bad coil pack that was causing a cel for a #3 cylinder misfire. after doing so the original code cleared but now I have a P0443 (EVAP canister purge valve circuit fault). I hit up my trusty windstar repair manual and and few postings on the internet in hopes of fixing the problem. i'm wondering if i could have bumped something under the hood when changing out the coilpack, but have no idea what or where to check under the hood if indeed this caused the problem. I also read up about changing out the evap charcoal canister as well as the vapor management valve. I have noticed no change to the operation of the van nor fuel mileage, but have a state inspection coming up next month and need to pass it. any suggestions on what to try first before i start spending a lot of time and money would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

RE: CEL P0443
[sm=welcomesign.gif]1st I would try to reset the computer by disconecting the battery. This code can be caused by a number of thing's in the charcoal canister such a bad gas cap or overfilling the van with gas even a vacuum hose off or split.[hr]Then if all else fail's try the vapor valve.
