Data Link Connector

I have a 2000 windstar that has no power to the DATA Link Connector (DLC). I cannot find a diagram showing where the connections go to possibly determine if I have a blown fuse. Can someone please explainor provide a diagram of how the DLC to the Data Center is wired? I have my check engine light on and would like to read the codes and correct the situation.

RE: Data Link Connector

:eek:Hello and good day:

The 20 amp fuse in discussion, for the "data-link connector", is in fuse position #17 in the cabin fuse box. See your glove box owner's guide for fuse diagram. (Above for model year 1999).

Vehicles produced for Europe are subject to the EOBD standards. Follow this link to determine if your vehicle has the applicable connector.http://www.nology.com/obd2connector.htm[:-]
In Europe OBD2 standard is introduced in 2000 I believe. In US OBD2 is law from 96. Maybe this windstar still doesn't have obd2
