Data Link Connector
I have a 2000 windstar that has no power to the DATA Link Connector (DLC). I cannot find a diagram showing where the connections go to possibly determine if I have a blown fuse. Can someone please explainor provide a diagram of how the DLC to the Data Center is wired? I have my check engine light on and would like to read the codes and correct the situation.

RE: Data Link Connector
:eek:Hello and good day:
The 20 amp fuse in discussion, for the "data-link connector", is in fuse position #17 in the cabin fuse box. See your glove box owner's guide for fuse diagram. (Above for model year 1999). http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...er_offline.gif Vehicles produced for Europe are subject to the EOBD standards. Follow this link to determine if your vehicle has the applicable connector.http://www.nology.com/obd2connector.htm[:-] In Europe OBD2 standard is introduced in 2000 I believe. In US OBD2 is law from 96. Maybe this windstar still doesn't have obd2 |
RE: Data Link Connector
