I have a 1998 Windstar with a 3.8L engine. I think I need to clean out the EGR ports. What is the best way to do it and what is the preferred chemical to use?

May I ask a question first?? Are you replacing the EGR??? or Just Cleaning the Port??
The Preferred Cleaning Chemical would be Throttle Cleaner....not Carb Cleaner.
I use the Throttle body Cleaner and a soft cloth the wipe off the inside of the Port.
