GEM of a problem
 

1995 Windstar LX 3.8

While driving the vehicle, I suddenly lost my power windows, front wipers and washer, interior lighting, and cruise control. The only blown fuse is to the GEM, "Generic Electronic Module" I replaced the fuse and it blew without even having the key on. I can smell hot insulation.

I researched this module and found that it can indeed cause all of the above problems. I can't, however, find where it is located on the vehicle.
