My 99 E350 won't start in the morning. I have to give it a shot of starter fluid and it fires right up . I'll take it to the job site and leave there all day, when it's time to leave it fires right up again. The next morning nothing I have to do the starter fluid all over again.
Any insight on this would be most appreciated!

Hanky mentioned the GP relay which is a common fail, but you can also unplug the UVC harness connector at the valve covers and check for power distribution out to the GP's on the outer most connector wires. Not real common to burn the connectors on later 7.3's, but always good to check. Resistance tests there as well for open/failed GP's if the relay and power distribution proves out.. Careful using ether, an active GP system can flame out the intake..

 

Hanky thanks for the glow plug tip. I checked the glow plug relays. I checked for power on the input/line side of the relay and found there was no power there. So I back tracked from there . I followed the power wire back to another relay tucked in and hidden next to the battery. Come to find out there's a fuseable link there which was broken. I replaced it and regained power back to the glow plug relays, the motor fired up.

Glad you found the problem.
Anytime a fusible link opens is because of excessive current being pulled through the wire. Keep a close eye on that part, something caused it to open. The fusible link is there to prevent a fire in the wiring. I will check further later today and see what else is on that circuit that might have caused that.
Could be the link was just weak, just keep an eye on it.

 

I'll be vigilant and watch out for any issues with that wire.

Hanky I'm in need of wiring diagrams for the coolant sensor circuit, manifold temp sensor circuit, hpop circuit, could you recommend a site to obtain them?

I haven't found any free diagrams that were easy to read and then there are the sites where you can purchase the diagrams.
If you are planning to get into those systems I would suggest you consider checking with www.Helm Inc. and get a complete "Ford" wiring manual for your particular vehicle.
