Back door stuck closed on 1996 E150
Hi everyone!
I've removed the door panels and found that the cables to the latch on the backdoor with the outside handle are disconnected. I can't remove the latch because the bolts are between the closed doors; and I can't figure out how to get a cable back into the latch so I can open it that way...
The mechanism for the manual lock and inside handle move, but don't open the door. I also suspect that the actuator isn't working--would that be a factor? Thanks for your advice!

Door Cable fix
O' Riley sells the replacement cables for about $32. You can reach in to install the cable without pulling the lock out. If it really doesn't seem possible then try pushing up on the cable bracket to unlock the door.
As an aside, the doors share common cable types so you might get the cable and then look at the matching lock setup on the other door to see how it runs. I believe it is •Right Side Hinged Door Front/•Cargo Door.
