Wipers not working
I have a 77 Ford F-150 4x4 With the 400 under the hood. Today is raining and my wipers don't work at all!! They worked few weeks ago and now nothing....No spray fluid nothing!! I turn the switch nothing!! What could be the problem? I tried to look for a fuse for it but i couldn't find it. Its dumping buckets outside and i cant drive without wipers in this mess. Any help is much appreciated!! Thanks

There has to be a fuse for the wipers. If you have access to a voltmeter or test lite just ground the negative lead of the voltmeter to a good clean ground or the alligator clip of the test lite to a good clean ground and check both sides of every fuse . If it is a defective fuse you will get a lite or 12 volt reading on the voltmeter on one end of the fuse and no nothing on the other end. Just make sure you have the ignition turned on when checking the fuses because the wipers for example are fed from the ign switch through the fuse.
If all your fuses check good , the wiper motor may need to be replaced.
The fuse block usually says which fuse is for the wipers.
Many times the fuse just has a bad connection in the fuseblock due to moisture.

I have looked under the drivers side dash at the fuse panel and i cant find where the wiper fuse is. the letters are worn off. But the fuses all look good. I need to get a voltmeter and find out. Could it be the switch its self? and could you tell me where on the fuse panel the wiper one is? Thanks. BTW if it is wiper motor how hard would it be to fix that? And how?

Suggestion;
If you purchase a decent multimeter , doesn't have to be an expensive one, it can be used quite easily for many things.
Checks, charging system, voltage available ,battery condition, resistance checks allow you to check almost any bulb for being burned out & You can check continuity in wiring when the battery is disconnected among other uses. A perfect example is checking your vehicle's fuses. Very easy to do.
You won't need fuse location info to tell if the fuse for the wipers is N/G , voltage or resistance check with the fuse out is fast and simple.

Thanks hanky i found out what the problem was it was a bad connection on one of the fuses. It had a Lil dirt of some sort on the post. Wipers are working again. Today wasn't raining so it was easy to look and see. But i will be getting a decent multimeter its a good idea to have one. Thanks for the advice. Much appreciated!!
