Big injection - 7.5L
Hi, I'm new to this forum but am no stranger to the automotive world being an ASE master tech. Anyways, I just bought a 1985 F-350 powered by a 7.5L gasoline engine equipped with an aluminum Jerr-Dan roll back bed. I got it mostly for personal use and to make an occasional buck or two helping friends and family out. I have no intentions of towing commercially with a 26 year old truck. (although the DMV made me get "For Hire" tags. )
Anyway, on to my question: The 7.5L carbureted beast runs good, but I know it can have much better manners with injection. I am not 100% sure what all fits these engines so before I start buying pieces/parts for it I would like to know if I can take the EFI intake off of a newer 7.5L and convert it. It seems like an almost bolt on set up, if so then all I'd have to do is wire in the injection system, o2, fuel pumps etc. If I can get away with just that, I'd be a happy camper. If not, I'd be looking at swapping in a newer engine AND wiring it in. Personally, I'd rather avoid that expense. I've looked into the holly pro-jection system and I'm not impressed with the reviews I've seen. So if anyone has any hands on info to share, it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you, that saves me tons of PITA research and I'd like to start using my new toy ASAP. I know this beast will never see the high side of the teens in MPG (even going downhill with a tail wind) now I won't have to burn all that fuel waiting for it to warm before trying to go. Maybe I'll do a write up.
