Can I Do This? New (Stock) Wheels and Tires?
OK, I have looked all over to find the answer to this, and failed, so here is my story:
In college I purchased a 2000 XL Ranger to have a dependable truck to get me to and from school and work.
I ended up getting the "work truck model", the basic 2WD, 4 banger that is as simple as you can get.
Since I graduated and the truck is still running great, I decided to "improve" a few options on my truck.
It has 15X6.0J steel wheels that have rusted, and p225/70R15sl tires and have never looked that great.
Can I replace these with the "stock" 16X7 factory ranger wheel and Goodyear Wrangler RT/S P235/70R/16 tire (the 5 hole oval rim as in the 4X4's and XLT) without having to lift or cut any of my truck?
Would this result in any rubbing while turning?
And any other negative results from doing this?
Any help would be great!

RE: Can I Do This? New (Stock) Wheels and Tires?
I had a 2001 Ranger w/ the 4x4 off road package, I added a suspension and body lift and replaced the stock rims and tires with bigger, i sold the factory wheels and tires which were 16x7 wheels and the tires I think were the 245/70/16 to a guy that had a 2 wheel drive ext. cab, so i would have to say if it worked on his truck it will work on yours, i saw the guy a couple weeks later and he said he was glad he did it. The only downside i could see is that you will lose some power and a little gas milage.
