Anyone Install a Grill Guard?
I originally posted this in another section. I found this section and realized I should have put it here instead.
Anyways....
I have an '05 Escape v6 4x4. I want to dress it up a little by putting on a Dee Zee grill guard. The ad says direct bolt on. But I'm wondering about the rubber air dam on the bottom of the nose...the one that almost all cars have, and the one that a lot of drivers (mostly wives...LOL) scrape the curb with when they nose into parking spaces.
Does the grill guard go under/around that rubber piece or does the rubber piece have to come off? Seems to me that the grill guard will be too low (for my taste). I know it sounds trivial but I like to know as much of what I'll face when I'm installing.
Thanks.
