Can i replace my fm/am/ cassette player with an fm/am cd premium sound player

probably not. The premium sound system has a built in factory amp, and the harness behind both radios are different.

If you are talking about the single DIN unit (approximately 2 3/8 inches tall) and you do NOT have the Premium Sound system, you should try this package:

Quite ingenious and it's plug and play.

Incidentally, the non-Premium plugs on the single DIN radios were two long (@ 1 5/8") skinny (@ 3/8") plugs (one gray, one black)consisting of up to 8 prongs. If you've got one of these long plugs and another smaller rectangular plug with 16 pins, you've got Premium Sound. You didn't indicate what year, make and model you have but, chances are, if you've got a 94 or newer, you can use the Premium Sound CD with your Premium Sound system.
