Weak AM/Fm Reception

Default Weak AM/Fm Reception
I am helping a lady w/ her 05 Expedition, she currently has a Kenwood Indash DVD unit installed, the radio reception is very weak though. The antennae is plugged up, any ideas what could be causing this? Any additional parts (ex signal booster) I can put on there??
