Default tri-y 5.0

I have a 5.0 engine that has three inverted Ys cast into the passenger side bank of cylinders between the head deck and the tappets, inside, under the intake manifold. It also has a double row roller timing chain and double eye-brow pistons. What does this mean, if anything. I've been told that blocks with the three Ys are something special, but don't know if this is true,or what is special about them.
