Default 1963 Ford Fairlane 500 steering box

I was just wondering if anyone knew how to tighten the steering box on my new found beauty. The wheel has about 2 inches of play, and I want to tighten her up.

If it's the gear box - else ship ahead. On the top of the gearbox is a stud with a slot for a straight screwdriver. Loosen the nut which locks it down while holding the screw in place. Once unlocked turn the screw in at 1/8 turn at a time. It will eventually tighten if it is the gearbox - but before that you should be sure your steering arms and rag joint (if you have one) from the column to the gearbox are not loose/damaged themselves.
