G'day all , Brand new member ...Ford Falcon ended up becoming an Australian legend and sadly about to wind up production after 56 years continuous build from 1960 to 2016..She's had the mighty Ford V8's from the 289's , 302's , 351's , Tickford 5.6 litres , Boss 5.4's , and now the Coyoye/ Miami supercharged 5 litres..also the great inline sixes including the 170 Pursuit , the 221 , the 250 crossflow and in more recent times the bulletproof 4.0 litre inline engines , both the SOHC and DOHC . The DOHC is known as the Barra and the output of the Turbo version is ridiculous.Falcon finally finishes in about 6 weeks time...Here's a clip that pays tribute to the Aussie Falcon uploaded to You Tube a few years ago just after Ford announced the end of local manufacturing. There was the very last model FGX after this and this clip features a lot of the second to last model , the FG , as well as some other models that total around 25 different runs in the 56 years. One of my two Falcons is the FG , it's an XR6.
