Rear tires

I have a 67 Fairlane GTA with a built 427 SO but otherwise a perfect stock body and interior. Any recommendations for street legal rear tires and will a 275/60/15 fit without modifications? I will have to grab a pair of slicks if it ever makes it to the track.
