Google will do that for you. Put Classic Vin Decoder. at least 4 worthy links will show up.

Perfect. I did it for you. Your Vin is fake. C is not a Year. your vin should be
0(X)46(Y)12345 format. 0 is 196!0!, X is your production plant, say R, like my Grandmother's 61 falcon, built not far from it's home of more years than I've been alive, R is San Jose, CA. (home is Palm Springs. been here since purchase by my great grandmother from Brand Ford, a dealership that no longer exists.) F is Dearborn.

Y should be whatever your engine is, say D, Again the 6-Cyl in my Grandma's Falcon. My Fairlane is a C, a 289 2bbl V8. (2 barrel Carb.)
My Fairlane was built in Kansas City. Get a shop manual & an FBI agent, the shop manual will help you read the coding in your car and the Agent will tell you where to find the Frame vin. I am not going to compromise my source here. If you have no FBI friends I'll ask my source and help you perhaps.

Also perhaps if I put a 0 in front of your Vin we get a 60 Fairlane built in Chester, with a 6-Rocker. Do you have a 6-Rocker? then your car is a not quite so well faked Vin or the real Vin smudged on your 0. If you've got a V8... Fake fake fake. Call the FBI.

Get a shop manual, It'll tell you if you have more digits justifying your Vin as real.

Wait wait wait. I jumped to conclusions. Anyone could have ripped out the motor. Is this a Rat rod? Email me with info you've got, I'm exhaustively researching all things Fairlane, Tell me what you've got & I'll keep you posted. Jrocker152@Gmail.com
