Default 4 bbl tuning on a 4.9 in an '85 Bronco 4x4

A friend of mine has an '85 Bronco 4x4 with the 300 big 6. He recently put on a header and a 4 bbl manifold, along with a 4 bbl Holley carburetor. He's having a tough time getting it tuned properly, and there are no shops that he can find in the local area that can tune it for him.

If there's anyone in the Gainesville VA area that would be willing to help out, it would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

It's the size of your carb. jets likely. Try 50 primary, 52 secondary to start. I have a chart but it's about 4AM and I'm near spent. Hot running is too small jets, black smoke is too big jets. There 'ya go baby! That's the basic key for selecting your primaries. Secondaries are a touch bigger.
